Our mission
Description
Amate paper is a handmade paper, made by the hands of artisans from the Sierra de Puebla, who transform the pulp of the bark of the jonote tree to shape various designs of a unique paper that enchants the eye.
The technique used by the artisans dates back to pre-Columbian times and was widely used during the Aztec empire, especially in rituals.
At present there are several uses that have been given to it, from the elaboration of lampshades, the elaboration of paintings, the incarnation of paintings, cards and invitations to tapestry on walls.
